ATEQ is Available to Provide Consulting, Leak and Flow Testers For Check Valve Testing Applications.

It is important that check valves flow properly. Check valves can be found everywhere–in any industry where a pump is located from sump pumps in your home to automotive pumps. They are one of the few self-automated valves that can open and close automatically.  These valves allow fluid to flow in one direction and automatically prevent back flow when the fluid direction reverses. A variety of fluids are used with check valves such as liquid, air, other gasses, steam.

Check valves are flow sensitive. If the flow is not enough to open the valve 100%, the disc path will restrict the flow passage so the pressure drop will be greater than calculated causing a failure of other valves and equipment in the line.

ATEQ has developed solutions for hundreds of different check valve applications for well known medical companies over the last 40 years.  Whether you are leak testing swing, lift (piston and ball), butterfly, stop or tilting-disk check valves, ATEQ can work with you to provide efficient leak testers and flow meters for check valves and develop integrated check valve testing solutions.

Typically, ATEQ recommends leak testing automotive check valves with a pressure decay or ramping test using ATEQ’s Primus F620 ERD option with an approximate leak rate range of 0.5 to 2.0 cc/m with various cracking pressures and a test time of anywhere of 2-30 seconds.
