ATEQ is Available to Provide Consulting and Leak and Flow Testers For Automotive Intake Manifold Leak Testing Applications.

An intake manifold is an aluminum part used to evenly distribute the combustion to each intake port in the cylinder head. Featuring a series of tubes, the intake manifold also helps cool down the cylinders to prevent the engine from overheating.

Is it is important to leak test an intake manifold and the gaskets because the specified amount of fluids should flow through manifold at a given time without extraneous leaks caused by manufacturing defects. Manifold welding cracks or faulty intake manifold gaskets can cause engines to overheat, coolant to leak, check engine lights to come on and make engines run more roughly.

To leak test all the chambers in an intake manifold, several testing circuits may be created using an ATEQ leak tester to perform linked test cycles. These cycles can be programmed with a PLC to make one valve open at a time to test the corresponding chamber.

ATEQ has developed solutions for hundreds of different automotive leak testing applications for well known OEM manufacturers over the last 40 years.  Whether you are leak testing intake manifolds, cylinders, full engines, EV battery packs, catheters, pacemakers, or a smartphone, ATEQ can work with you to provide efficient leak testers and develop integrated intake manifold production leak and flow testing solutions.
