ATEQ is Available to Provide Consulting, Leak Testers For Pacemaker Testing Applications.

A pacemaker is a small device that’s placed under the skin in your chest to help control your heartbeat. Because this is an electronic product that will be put into an area of moisture, it is important that the pacemaker is completely air-tight. A properly leak tested pacemaker could be the difference between life or death due to a malfunctioning short-circuited device near the heart.

Since a pacemaker is stored inside the body, it is completely sealed with no ports to pressurize for a standard air leak test. In order to leak test a hermetically sealed pacemaker, a sealed comoponent ingress leak test is required. This type of test requires pressurizing a custom air-tight chamber that contains the test part and looking for a drop in pressure.
