As summer comes to a close and students are beginning to go back to school, ATEQ will have to say goodbye to its summer interns.  This summer, ATEQ was honored to host two international interns.

“ATEQ has always prided itself on being a global company, having more than forty locations around the world.  But you don’t have to leave ATEQ USA to meet employees from other countries.  Dozens of countries are represented by our diverse staff right here in our Michigan office,” said Heidi Franklin, Marketing Coordinator.

Wladimir Sarmiento Gonzalez is an economics major at the University of Chicago and has been working closely with ATEQ’s financial controller and the TPMS team for 10 weeks this summer.  Wladimir was born in Venezuela and is a native Spanish-speaker. He grew up in Buffalo, New York before his family relocated to San Francisco, California. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, building computers, and playing computer and video games. Aside from studying finance and investment banking, he enjoys learning more about media studies; writing movie reviews, scripts and producing small films at the University of Chicago.

French native, Thomas Trefouel will be entering his second year at the Caen Institute of Civil Engineering and Construction (ESITC Caen), in Normandy France, in the fall where he studies construction and civil engineering.  He has been assisting on testing projects with ATEQ Corporation and ATEQ TPMS Tools to gain knowledge of TPMS and leak testing technology.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and long-distance bike riding. He has also enjoyed watching American car racing and attending the Michigan Renaissance Festival this summer.
