ATEQ’s Leak Testing Instrument Sets
Record for Fastest Repeatable Cycle Time

Livonia, Michigan – November, 2017.  ATEQ Corp., has provided Trans-Matic leak testers to use with their deep drawn stamping presses since 2000. ATEQ instruments leak test Trans-Matic’s parts, such as fuel delivery, oxygen sensors and ABS components, which start as flat metal and are shaped into cylinders.

ATEQ has been Trans-Matic’s go-to company for fast and accurate leak testers for the past 17 years; starting with ATEQ Series 3 instruments and then upgrading to ATEQ’s Series 5 Premier F instrument.  Trans-Matic is currently testing small volume cylindrical stamped parts on a press with a 30pa leak rate reject limit (approximately 30sccm), at 5 psi test pressure with a total leak test cycle time of .14 seconds.

While this is already an impressive test time, ATEQ decided to try testing this application with their new 6 Series F620 Primus instrument to see if the leak test could be any faster.  The 6 series instrument practically cut test cycle time in half with a .01 sec. fill time, .05 sec. stabilization time and a .02 sec. test time.  This allowed Trans-Matic to almost double their production.
